It doesn’t mather what controll you use, as long as it creates the look needed. For light controll I like to use Chamsys consoles, from a MQ500 to an easy controllable touch screen for an exhebition show.
For big, digital LED strip projects (individual controllable led dots) I use a Madrix media server connected to a Chamsys console. For video controll it depends on the project, could be Resolume, could be Dataton’s Watchout. Every project has it’s own needs, every software has its own Pro’s and Cons. I take these differences in consideration and choose the showcontroll that’s needed for the project.
